Geocache Description:

No 4WD necessary for this easy-to-grab cache in beautiful Wharton State Forest. A short 1/4 mile drive down a hard packed sand road off Carranza Road, heading towards the Memorial. Don't stray too far from the cache location or you may end up in boot camp! You are looking for a small camo cache container with room for small trade items. Classic piney hide!

Did you ever wonder what those blue and gold signs were all about as you were driving down Carranza Road on the way to the Carranza Memorial? New Jersey's Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) operates six secure facilities throughout the state for juvenile offenders who have been committed to the agency's care by the courts. Formerly known as the "Stabilization and Reintegration Program" (SRP) a.k.a. "boot camp," the facility is now known as the "Life Skills and Leadership Academy" and it is the only facility of its kind located in beautiful Wharton State Forest.
