Let’s meet at
Minnehaha Park and work in the morning and mix and mingle in the afternoon.
Like last years
Event, let’s plan on starting the dirty work around 10:00 and firing up the
barbeques around 2:00. Bring your own meats to bbq along with a side dish and
your own beverages for the potluck meal.
We’ll supply the paper plates and plastic
utensils. I am hoping that one or more barbeques might appear for the day (hint
hint), and hopefully a few tables… You might also want to bring your own chair
or blanket.
I look forward to seeing y’all there. Please
post a note that you can attend so I’ll have a head count for supplies. I will
update this page as I get more details. Until then make sure you leave that day
open on your calendars.
3-24-05 Update:
- Spokane parks dept. has given us the Thumbs Down to
use a few ATVs to assist pulling out the big stuff. They say:
"If you can not move the material by manual
means, just note it and our crews can pick it up during the work week."
- Spokane parks is also providing gloves and garbage bags,
and will designate a spot for all our bags for pick up the next day.
- The restrooms will be closed... so looks like we'll
have to rent a port-a-potty or something... ideas?? Donations??
