This cache is located to the North of Irondequoit Bay Park in Webster. The park is located off of Empire Blvd, street name "Bay Park." Park at the lot before the gate. The cache itself is not located inside the more popular part of the park. Be prepared to bushwack, cross water, and climb steep terrain. It is VERY exposed in some parts. At the cache location, turn due south and look around. The coordinates get you very close, but not there!
The cach itself is not close to any trail. If it were then it would not be entirely to challenging. I would strongly suggest parking at the Bay Park lot off of Empire Blvd, location N43 11.277 W77 30.672. Be advised that going past the gate is allowed, but the Webster Public Works Dept closes the gate at 4pm, and they don't care about your car. I generally park up top. Plan on taking some time to enjoy this area. From the bottow of the hill the cache is off to your right (when viewing the bay). There is a small trail that will eventually lead elsewhere. Once off the trail it is very rugged and there are many climbs and decents as you cross a few ridgelines. I placed this in late February, but imagine that there will be much underbrush to blaze through. CAUTION!!! The cache coordinates take you to a very sheer drop off, the ridge view is amazing, out over the bay. Once at the cache spot turn due south and look for the "Lil Black Box."
Box is a 50cal ammo box painted gloss black with writting and a red X. It contains $$ for the first finder, marbles, action figures, waterproof fire startes, light switch plate for kids, and some other goodies. Enjoy and please try to put it back as found.
