End Of The Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

EdZilla433: Well, when I his this one back in 2005, I thought it was muggle-proof in a spot one would be unless you was geocaching.

Julie and I drove out and checked today, and sure enough...it's gone.

Soooo...it made it 4½ years, but I'm gonna archive it rather than replace it. This is such a cool area...I'm surprised there isn't more larger caches out here. The area is wide open now.

Geocache Description:

A cache at the End of the road.

Park at the "END" sign above, and you are less than 30 feet from the cache.

Black Butte Lake is where we spent a lot of Summer's days and nights.

The back side of the lake is less used, but has lots to do and see.

Fishing, swimming, hiking, 4-wheeling, nature watching...it's all found here.

The roads are normally open and a 2-wheel drive vehicle can usually drive

right up to within 20-30 feet of the cache. The dirt roads can be a little

bumpy.

If all else fails, you can park and hike to the cache.

The more adventurous can have fun (safely!)

The cache is located in the Burris Wildlife Area on the west side of Black Butte Lake,

and is a 'lock-n-lock' plastic container...big enough

for small trade items.

Enjoy and have fun! It's not a hard hide, hidden to stump anyone...it's to get ya out there!

Happy caching!!

Ed & Julie
