This
cache was once part of the Wizard Chess game series. Now it
remains as an independent cache. Along with "Defense Against
the Dark Arts."
To find the Owlery you must first find Moaning Myrtle.
Moaning Myrtle is a ghost who haunts a toilet in a girls'
bathroom
Moaning Myrtle’s Bathroom
Myrtle was a student at Hogwarts when she was killed by
the Basilisk from the Chamber of Secrets. She had been hiding
in that bathroom because she was being teased. She heard
someone come in; and she realized it was a boy, so she opened
her stall to tell him to get out of the girls' bathroom, only
to find herself face to face with the basilisk.
Myrtle is a squat ghost with lank hair, pimples, and thick glasses.
She seldom smiles and takes offense at the least excuse, weeping
rivers of tears and wailing. As a ghost, Myrtle sticks around her
toilet and moans, cries and splashes water out whenever she feels
particularly miserable.
The
Owlery
The
Owlery, where the school owls and the owls belonging to students
live, is located on the top of West Tower. The Owlery was a
circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, because none of the
windows had glass in them. The floor was entirely covered in straw,
owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles.
Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable were
nestled here on perches that rose right up to the top of the tower,
nearly all of them asleep.
