Geocache Description:

At the Beach

Bryant Park is the most easterly City Park on West Bay. In 1901, Linus Bryant owned all the land here at the base of the peninsula. He sold a parcel on each Bay to the City for $250 each, with the proviso that this park be named for him. The City has added to the park on two occasions, spending an additional $101. This is a very popular spot for a lunch break. Since it has full amenities, a guarded beach, a playground, restrooms, picnic tables and grills, the park is very busy all year and parking is often at a premium.

The cache is a clear plastic container that replaces the one that was recently muggled. It is in the parking area, away from the main action but still in a very busy location. PLEASE practice stealth when retrieving and replacing it, and please replace it just as you found it.

This is one of a series of 10 caches that we have placed to highlight Traverse City and some of its parks.

If you have not yet discovered all of the caches, they are; Please Mr. Postman, At The Beach, Down by the Riverside, Loop de Loop, On a Blanket with my Baby, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Where the Watermelons Grow, Life is just a Bowl of Cherries, Oh Genevieve, Where's the Playground Susie?,

In, on or in close proximity to each cache container is a number accompanied by a letter. Take note and record each combination. After you have found the 10 caches there is a Beautiful Reward cache at N44° AB.CDE, W085° FG.HIJ.

Given the nature of parks, all of the caches are child friendly and we created them with children in mind. None of the locations are physically challenging. All are in safe locations and, with the exception of a couple that are out of the reach of toddlers, can be found by the youngsters. We hope you have fun on your hunt, we created this series with your enjoyment in mind.
