The Photo highlights the Eagle Project site and
may or may not include the location of the actual cache, although
it will be nearby.
This project was done in 1998 and is showing signs of wear and
abuse. Originally, all the of exercise stations were repaired and
repainted, landscaping was planted to shield the site from the road
and gravel was laid around the path area. This project was done by
a Boy Scout in Troop 48 who, after graduating from Princeton, gave
up a lucrative job to join the Marines. As a 2nd Lieutenant, he
will soon be deployed to Afghanistan. Wish him well - he continues
to offer service! This project is slated for a future Eagle project
to once again restore its utility.
Scouting provides a tremendous number of service hours to the
community. If you took the total hours of community service
conducted by the Marin Council in one year and assigned that to a
single individual working 40 hours a week…how long would it
take them to accomplish the same amount of service? Answer: 18.95
years!
