Geocache Description:

This is the twelfth in a new series called “cache to Eagle” which highlight Eagle Service Projects by the Boy Scouts of Marin Council. This is an easy hide, good for beginners.

Earn the Cache to Eagle patch! See www.geoscouting.com to learn how.

The Photo highlights the Eagle Project site and may or may not include the location of the actual cache, although it will be nearby.

This Eagle Project by a Scout from Troop 39 involved upgrading and beautifying the Ecostar Garden of Mary E Silviera School. It included the following: Installing a garden arbor, a garden sink, 6 garden benches, planting landscape material, replacing existing pavers and stepping stones and spreading mulch along the pathway.

Scouting provides a tremendous number of service hours to the community. If you took the total hours of community service conducted by the Marin Council in one year and assigned that to a single individual working 40 hours a week…how long would it take them to accomplish the same amount of service? Answer: 18.95 years!

Note: this geocache may have poison oak during the late spring and early summer. It usually disappears by late summer.
