There is now seperate men's and womans ADA accessable bathrooms!
Parking increased from 2 spots to over 12 paved parking spot and one ADA Parking spot
There is a paved path from the parking lot to the beach making this beach more ADA acccessable.
There is a seasonal mat that leads from the end of the paved path to the water's edge again making the water/beach ADA Accessable.
There are two more picnic tables, so there are now 3 on the beech. Plus there two additional two fix grills by two of the 3 picnic tables.
Eastbay Township Parks
Now for the geocache.
An easy find less than 30' from parking, less than 50 feet from a boardwalk on level ground. You are looking for a small Pelican cache container. This cache replaces our archived cache at this park.
This is a vastly under-utilized micro-park. If you want a piece of the Bay to yourself, bring a picnic, you will be alone. (Well notso alone anymore, this is becoming a busy park.)

This cache is dedicated to the memory of Genevieve Steiger.
Born in Ohio, she grew up there and in the Fife Lake area. She began her working career as a teacher in a one-room school near Summit City.
After fifteen years of living, working and starting her family in the Detroit area, Gen returned to Traverse City in 1937. A single mom with four kids to raise ranging from teens to an infant, she began as a bookkeeper at the Cigar Box Factory. Over time she changed businesses and became a manager and eventually the owner of the Credit Bureau of Traverse City. She also became the first female licensed to sell real estate in the area.
Always a supporter of the public schools, among other positions, she served as the President of the PTA. She was also an early active booster of Northwestern Michigan College, serving as President of the Wigwam Club and on the library planning committee. She was a member, officer and leader in the Business and Professional Women, Zonta, Red Cross, Michigan Heart Association, Community Council and the Associated Credit Bureaus of Michigan. In 1962 she was selected as Traverse City's Person of the Year.
