This cache
is located just outside the gate of Bergseth Field, home of Puget
Sound Soaring
Association. It is a
de-con canister containing a log book and pencil and with enough
room for small trading items.
The main reason
for placing a cache here is to introduce you to the world of
soaring flight. PSSA
operates at Bergseth most every weekend from March through the end
of October. (The cache
will be deactivated during the winter
months.) The club owns
three gliders and the tow plane and there are usually a few
privately-owned ships around as
well. More information
on our club is available at
www.pugetsoundsoaring.org
After logging
your find, you are welcome to come through the gate and watch the
operation if you
wish. For your
safety, please observe the signs and keep children under close
supervision at all
times. Demonstration
rides with one of our FAA-certified instructors are usually
available. (There is a fee, of
course). Talk to the
field manager if you are interested.
>>> IMPORTANT
NOTES! <<<
1. During
times when flight operations are not in progress, the area beyond
the gate/fence is PRIVATE PROPERTY and strictly
off-limits. Please
do not trespass.
2. This
cache is NOT to be done at night!
