Geocache Description:

Hidden in plain sight.

This is a small canister located on the Rock Island Trail at the bridge that spans Kickapoo Creek. This is one of the most scenic sites on the RI Trail because the bridge is high above the creek with resting benches at both ends. Use stealth when retrieving this cache because this bridge is a place where hikers (and many kids) stop for a rest and take in the view and you can see as many as a dozen people at one time there. There is no reason to leave the publicly-accessible portion of the trail---no bushwhacking or fence crossing. Permission was granted to place this cache from the IL Department of Natural Resources. Bring a pen/pencil since only a small log strip is in the canister (don’t need tweezers for this one). If you’re familiar with a new residential development under construction on Cedar Hills Drv near the creek, you can park much closer to this cache.
1. Geocache is placed on Department managed property with permission.
2. Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items,inappropriate,offensive, or hazardous materials.
3. It is the visitors responsibility or orient themselves with policies and rules pertaining to this Department managed site. Enjoy
