Geocache Description:

This cache IS located on an island.

Parking can be found at N 45 35.022 W 079 19.116

This cache is located on an Island that I used to camp out on as a kid. I grew up on the lake and learned how to camp on this little island. Visiting it now, it's astonishing and very sad to see how many trees it has been stripped of, presumably for firewood.

This cache is VERY easy to reach during the winter, just park at the above coordinates and follow the snowmobile tracks. Please do not attempt during the fall or spring when the ice is not safe.

During the summer, a canoe, kayak or paddle boat will get you there easily. Heck, you could swim there from the parking coordinates pretty quick too. If I remember correctly, the depth of the water is about 5 feet all the way there, so you may be able to walk there in the summer.
