A muddy stroll along Gratton Dale to a cache above the scree.
A standard sandwich box initially containing a selection of bits and pieces including fridge magnet and an erupting Vesuvius. There is also a fine folk CD lurking within the box.
This is a lovely walk at any time of year although the bridleway tends to be rather muddy and rocky in places. In early summer the banks are a mass of wild flowers. The final approach to the cache is steep and you will be well advised to go around the scree which can be treacherous underfoot.
