The posted coordinates are not where the location of
this cache is. The coordinates are where you should park to get to this
one. To get the correct coordinates for this cache, you need to have
logged a find for the Travelers Woe (GCMQY0)
cache which is also located in Sunol Regional
Park. Welch Creek Road is in Sunol Regional Park and does not have a
kiosk or pay station yet does still require a daily parking permit ($6.00) or an
EBRPD (East Bay Regional Parks District) annual pass (which cost $30). The
road is very narrow and only about 10 feet wide in some spots, so don't forget
that it is a 2-way road and that there are private residences at the top of the
grade beyond Sunol's boundary.
Do you like Tavern Puzzles? I know some people
don't and some (like me) really do. Here is another Tavern Puzzle that was
given to me as a gift. Now that I know how to do it, I figured I'd share
my present with others and get them out to one of the nicest parks in the bay
area. A picture of the Tavern Puzzle is below. The object is to
remove the heart shaped piece from the other 3 pieces. Once you solve the
puzzle, take a picture of yourself with the heart in one hand and the other 3
pieces in the other, email it to me and I will then forward the coordinates toTinker's Bell (GCN647).
Please do not bend, force, cut,
stretch, or break in any way, any part of this puzzle. These puzzles were
all given to me as gifts and I just want to share them with others so they can
enjoy them also. Remember, the next cacher that comes to this cache would
like to find the puzzle the way you found it. Have fun, enjoy the hike,
and please put the heart back onto the puzzle like you found it. If you
can't for any reason. Please let me know, and I'll either have to fix it
myself or the next cacher will have to put it on instead of taking it off.
