The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches
will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by
Hoosier Pioneers. In just over a year, the quest has grown to over
a hundred fifty caches hidden in eighteen Indiana counties, and the
hiders have grown to five cacher teams, four of which are comprised
of A Man and His Dog... PRAIRIEPARTNERS
has set a record for one-day ISQ finds on 10-16-2004 at 55! 179
cacher teams have logged over 1,960 finds.

Welcome to Spring Kreek Cemetery in Jackson
Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana. The oldest stone we found was

13th Regiment, Indiana Infantry
Organized at Indianapolis, Ind., for one year's service May,
1861, but reorganized for three years and mustered in June 19,
1861.
HIGHLIGHTS OF SERVICE: Battle of Rich Mountain; Cheat Mountain;
Greenbrier River; Camp Alleghany; Hancock; Great Cacapon Bridge,
Alpine Station and Sir John's Run; Kernstown; Battle of Winchester;
Occupation of Mt.Jackson; Battle of Port Republic; Siege of
Suffolk; Edenton, Providence Church and Somerton Roads; Siege
operations against Fort Wagner, Morris Island and Charleston, S.
C.; Capture of Forts Wagner and Gregg; Re-enlisted December, 1863.
Moved to Jacksonville, Fla., Ordered to Hilton Head, S. C.; thence
to Gloucester Point, Va. Butler's operations on Southside of the
James River and against Petersburg and Richmond, Va. Occupation of
Bermuda; Battle of Drury's Bluff; Bermuda Hundred. Moved to White
House, thence to Cold Harbor; Battles about Cold Harbor; Siege
operations against Petersburg and Richmond; Mine Explosion,
Petersburg. Non-Veterans left front June 19. Mustered out June 24,
1864. Demonstration north of the James at Deep Bottom. Battle of
Strawberry Plains; Chaffin's Farm, New Market Heights, Battle of
Fair Oaks; Detached duty at New York City during Election of 1864;
Assault and capture of Fort Fisher; Town Creek; Capture of
Wilmington; Occupation of Goldsboro; Occupation of Raleigh;
Bennett's House; Surrender of Johnston and his army; Mustered out
September 5, 1865.
Regiment lost during service 3 Officers and 104 Enlisted men
killed and mortally wounded and 2 Officers and 146 Enlisted men by
disease. Total 255.
