A beautiful walk (30 minutes) to the top of some pagoda rock formations. The final resting point is only marginally difficult to get to. My 5 and 8 year old kids made it!
Went to Dunn's Swamp for a day of camping, hiking and geocaching. Dunn's Swamp is part of Wollemei National Park and is worth the visit.
The cache location is "borrowed" from Odlids with his permission and my gratitude. The original cache was plundered so I brought in a new cache and changed the location slightly.
The cache is a small rubbermaid type container with a few small Canadian pins, a couple of Canadian pencils, fridge magnets, a golf ball and a few other small items. I kept the original log book found in the area from the cache "Swann's Dump".
I ALSO INCLUDED A * TRAVEL BUG (#464960) * FROM CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This travel bug wants to return back to Canada after it has seen a little bit of the world first!
The location of the cache is S 32.50.071 and E 150.11.743 and the cache is at one of the highest points (if not the highest point) hidden in a cave like opening covered by sticks to act as a clue. (photo attached)
We also made a Canadian Innuit Inukshuk which is a rock man that is used as a trail marker at S 32.50.073 and E 150.11.746 which unfortunately has been destroyed. (photo attached)
I hope that you have as much fun finding this cache as I did hiding it. If you are keen on the travel bug, don't wait too long to get your hands on it.
PS: This is my 2nd cache hidden in Australia. I am a Canadian teacher exchanging in Mudgee for a year.
