Very interesting old ranch. Public land so feel free to expore if you wish. When the grass is dry better park where it's short and wont catch fire on you're vehicles' exhaust system! Upgraded cache to a military first aid kit-a sealed metal box.
This old ranch has many interesting features. One of which is an oil well complete with the rig to make it pump. (Took me several visits to find- even though it is right on the ranch grounds.) Last time I was here the old windmill was in working order. Now it is in complete shambles along with the water storage tanks. Almost looks like the trio suffered some kind of explosion. (Probabally the Wind!) There is another well with a little shack, old diesel generator, and A wooden derrick for pump retrieval. NOTE: shack is gone, generator sitting in the open.
My first visits here I remember thinking the place was pretty spooky with the windmill slowly creeking in the wind and such. I still get a strange feeling here. Explore sheds and shacks at your own risk, looks like some of the stuff is ready to go...check out the picture of the devistated windmill and tanks.
