Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:

A haven of tranquility and beauty. Nice for flower and garden lovers. Two part cache. Park within 300 feet of destination. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. Take time to smell the flowers. Nice place for a family photo, a picnic or snack. Where else can you stand on the roof of the restroom and survey fields in bloom?

On highway 152, between Gilroy and Mt Madonna Park, you pass a vibrant display of flowers on the left side of the road. It's the home of Goldsmith Seeds, a Gilroy company that breeds hybrid flower seed.
Here you will find my secret delight: a 6 acre experimental garden they call the "Field of Dreams". It's free, it's open to the public from dawn to dusk 7 days per week, and it is a constantly changing vista. Plus, they have public restrooms!

To get there, head out west on 152 (Hecker Pass Highway), and go .6 miles past Santa Teresa Blvd. You will see a sign on the left, "Goldsmith Seeds". Park in the visitor's parking. This is a busy 2 lane road, and there is no turn lane, so keep your eyes open.

The initial coordinates will take you to a lovely, restful spot. Answer the following questions to get to the cache:

how many stone benches do you see? = A
How many greenhouses do you see over the fence? = B
How many bridges do you see over the pond = C
B - C = D
Cache location:

N 37.00.B4D
W 121.36.B8A

The garden sits in the midst of a working nursery. Watch for tractors and workers. The greenhouses are off limits.

The area is a little like a maze and you'll walk a lot more than 300 feet!
After you go to the first location, it's best to retrace your steps to the parking lot, then go to the restroom on the west side of the garden. You can climb the stairs, and get a heading from the viewing deck on the roof of the restrooms. It's cool!

Many of the flowers are experimental, and you won't see them anywhere else. (No, they don't sell to the public....)

Stay on the path. You will not be able to get to the cache from a road or driveway. Tree cover may interfere with your reading.

You are looking for a plastic container, about 2" diameter by 5" long. Goodies include fabulous playing cards, mardis gras beads, soccer key chain, and a magnetic microcache for the FTF.
Goldsmith seeds has given permission for this placement.
