The Key to Freedom Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Little Blue: After 276 visits this cache must be archived due to its location in what has been called "an environmentally sensitive area". The brown signs went up years after the cache was placed. I'm glad the mangroves are being protected. I'll find another spot for this container which has lasted a long time. I'm sorry to say the two TB's that are supposed to be inside are nonexistent. Cache on!

Geocache Description:

Carl E. Johnson State Park boat ramp

This cache is located near the ONLY free boat ramp in Lee County Florida. For that reason we ask that visiting geocachers who respect the environment and appreciate free access to natural areas could make a small donation in the blue box next to the ramp in lieu of a cache deposit. In this round plastic container (which fits very nicely in a crook of a wide spreading tree about six feet up) are:
an Easter lamb, a bunny ball, a blue parrot statue, a magnetic clip and a mini basketball. There is also a logbook and pen. There are picnic tables here, too, and a new bait/food store so have a picnic and enjoy the area.
