Geocache Description:

This is a fairly short multi-cache that should take approximately one hour to complete (kid friendly) my 3 and 8 year old sons assisted in scouting out the area and placing the cache. You may need to do some minor bushwhacking if you don't find the deer trails. Poison Ivy and stickers could also come into play if you don't approach correctly. There is a nice little stream where the kids can find salamanders and crayfish.

The listed coordinates take you near the parking area and the grave marker for your 1st clue. Make sure you note the month of birth and month of death of CPT Edward Nowiak (ex. May = 5). Complete the following calculations (easy) to get you to the cache site -

Take the month of death & multiply by 8 and add the total to this coordinate -
40° 44.7xx N

Take the month of birth & multiply by 8 and add the total to this coordinate -
075° 19.7xx W

Good luck and have fun. The cache has lots of goodies. You'll understand the title when you find the container.

Due to some problems with animals (probably squirrels), a new cache container was placed very near the previous container. New container placed May 14, 2006 "Mother's Day".

I recommend driving to the coordinates of the "Out of Place" cache (County Overflow Parking) and approach the final cache from that direction. Walk the path, skirt the corn-field and enter the woods near the NE corner. There are quite a few ATV trails. If you find one there shouldn't be much bush-whacking.
