Located along the Kishwaukee River in DeKalb, Illinois. This is a wooded area of DeKalb that isn't very well known.
The cache is a plastic jar about 9 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. There's good parking at N 41° 55.701', W 88° 46.341' or on the street in the neighborhood across the street from those coordinates.
This cache is located in Prairie Park near the southern end of The DeKalb/Sycamore Trail. This is a beautiful park surrounding a portion of the Kishwaukee River in DeKalb. There's a paved path perfect for biking or walking and numerous dirt paths perfect for a more secluded hike. People often fish in the river off the trails and in the winter you can ski or snowshoe on the paths.
