This muilti-cache begins in Webster NY. Be prepared to have a great time, see amazing things, and challenge yourself. All but a few of the points are easily accessible all year. I have put a lot of thought into this cache and I hope you all enjoy it the best you can. Upon completion of this multi you will feel great about your new accomplishment.
I hope you are ready for a most fun, exciting, challenging, and dubious multi cache; you will be covering a lot of ground. I know there will be those of you who rush to complete this first and to claim the FTF, but believe me when I tell you to take your time and thoroughly enjoy the locations you find yourself amongst. Even with the higher difficulty ratings, this multi is pretty family friendly, as long as someone likes to be daring from time to time.
I designed a hunt that will take will encompass the words associated in the name of this cache. I have found some rather unique and seldom used places for some of the points. Enjoy the beauty you find for all it is worth. Pack a lunch, bring a journal, talk with you family about life and the future, take only pictures and leave only footprints. Some of the caches are located near parks, bring a tent and do some camping. Get in touch with nature and appreciate the magnificent things that can be accomplished with time. When you are in the cache area take the time to walk local trails and see more of the area, you can be amazed at what you can see when you least expect it. In the process of placing this cache I saw the following: 12 deer, countless squirrels, 6 hawks, 2 types of wood peckers, a fox, and more…The less noise you make the better your chances are of seeing nature in its entirety
The points you find will have you looking for a black military decontamination box (pic below). Within each one of these boxes is a nicely laminated card with all the necessary info to find the next waypoint. This card will also have comments on the area, some clues, and additional parking spots as well. Please make sure that the card is placed back into the container and that the lid is firmly snapped back on and can’t open. The final cache is also a black decontamination box and will hold a FTF reward. It contains a log and very limited room. I am asking that you only sign in. If you insist on leaving something make sure it is small and won't compromise the way the box closes.
To complete this cache to the fullest of it’s potential I will ask that you use the parking coordinates I have listed. In some instances later on in the hunt these spots will help minimize the impact of fragile land. Some of the areas see very little use, while others may be in more popular areas. I ask that you use your own judgment when attempting this hunt. There sill be times that are physically demanding and will require a bit of extra effort.
I originally wanted to create a pure 5/5 multi cache, but decided against it for this one. After coming up with the theme I decided that this cache would be a good way to get out and explore some really cool areas with your family and children. As far as the kids are concerned they should be absolutely amazed by some of the things they see, please do not ask them to do more than they are physically capable of doing. That may mean that mom or dad needs to step up to the plate and show them what Geocacher’s are all about.
Items that may be useful include, but are not limited to:
*a long KNOTTED ROPE(the more knots the merrier)
or other way to access elevated “things”
-body protection (head, arms, legs, hands)
-bug spray in the buggy months
-first aid kit
-hiking boots
--tent
-pad of paper and a writing implement,
-a sense of adventure, wonderment,simple life,past
history
Good luck, use good judgement, have fun, be safe.....In most cases the hiding spot can be picked out easily. There are a few that will have you scratching your head hopefully.
FTF: WHEELYGOOD, who else!!
