PQ, GPX, MPS, WPT, GSAK, PDA, Blah, Blah, Blah ..........

Do you want to spend more time out in the field geocaching and less time preparing at home?  If so, come join us for an evening of fun and learning.  You will walk away from this event with a good understanding of how to quickly download hundreds of cache pages from geocaching.com and dump them into your GPS and PDA so that you can run out the door with all the necessary information in hand without ever printing out a single sheet of paper.

Geocachers with all levels of electronic geocaching experience are encouraged to attend.  If you are already an expert at this stuff, your help assisting others will be appreciated.  Also, this will be an excuse for everyone to get together, swap stories with friends and make new acquaintances.

Update: Door prizes will be given out during the event.  Also, beverages will be provided and a table will be set up for deserts and snacks.  If it's convenient, please bring something to share at the snack table.

Event Details

Where: Riley School Auditorium (Google Map)
When: April 14th at 6:30 PM
Parking: Please Park in the School Parking Lot (Gate will be open)
What to Bring: Bring your electronic geocaching gear.

Note: Thanks to the Dillon Gang for setting up the meeting place!  Also, thanks to Harmon of the SD Rowdies, Trailgators and Devhead for helping with the network wiring.

Preliminary Agenda:

6:30 – Cachers Arrive and Socialize.
7:00 – Formal Presentation.
8:00 – One on One Instruction/Exchange at Tables.

The formal presentation will primarily cover topics that are not device specific so that everyone will benefit.  After the formal presentation, there will be tables set up where folks can go to get instruction on specific devices that they own or plan to purchase (This is where the experienced folks can really help out).
