Hawk Island hawk? Not! Traditional Cache

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Traditional Cache located at Hawk Island.

Are you looking for a cache that is unique and totally different? If so, try this crowd pleasing cache located in the heart of a great city park.

The cache is in a mystery container. Hmmm???? I wonder what that could mean??? If I told you too much...it would give it all away. So take a chance and stretch your geo-caching comfort level. I promise, you will have FUN with this one. Sorry, I cant say much more than that. I don't want to give the secret away!! HMMMM?????

The cache is located in Hawk Island Park. The park is located on Cavanaugh Rd. between Aurelius and Pennsylvania. It is a great place for the family. There is a lake, boat rental, fishing, clubhouse, grills, changing rooms, bathrooms, vendon machines, snack bar, playscape, water park, etc. On weekends, there is a $2 entrance fee.

The easiest way to access the cache is via the main entrance of Hawk Island Park. If you park all the way in the rear (by the big pavilion) this will be your best bet. From there, it is a very short walk into the woods.

Please make sure you replace the cache exactly as you found it. Also, when leaving comments, please do not say anything that would give it away. My 4 year old son (King Billy) came up with the idea, so let me know if you liked it. Ok, have fun in the great outdoors.
