Geocache Description:

A quick walk in the dunes just off the coastal path.

Coastal Copse is as close as we could get to our archived Rocky Point cache without it getting wet! The copse is set in dunes to which the public have access between the coastal path and the West Lancashire Golf Club course. If you first use the carpark at the Coastguard Station you can then leave it to the North path.We walked to N53 30.172 W003 03.661 and entered the dunes there. The copse, which is a bit bare now, is overlooked to the East, (behind you), by an elevated grass path. So take care while at work! The cache is hidden under a flat moss covered stone which young children may have trouble with, so take care. Do take in Antony Gormley's The Other Place, which is dotted along the shore. It looks extra special/spooky at sunset!
