A short tour of a beautiful part of old Aylesbury, with some interest on the way.
The co-ordinates give the starting point, which is very close to Aylesbury Town Centre and not far from the station (There is limited parking in the vicinity). Note the lovely pedestrianisation scheme in Kingsbury Square, and try a visit to the Kings Head pub, owned by the National Trust. Apparently Oliver Cromwell was a regular.
You will need to find Church Street from the starting point (it's the street with the church in it). Thomas Hickman's home was erected on ABCD. Then you will be passing Bucks County Museum, with it's regular exhibitions.
The Chantry was converted to "units and bungalows" when? MNOP
Moving on, Thomas Hickman, a local benefactor (the trusts almshouses are all around in Church Street and Castle Street), gave 5 Almshouses in what year? EFGH.
You should now be in an area with the name of a saint and and a regular shape. Turn to the right and you will discover the Old Grammar School where the Bucks Archaeological Society moved in IJKL.
Walking round the perimeter, you could find a former public house. Taking the first digit away from the number of letters in it's name, leaving the second digit only, will give you Q. (ie take away the "ten" column, leaving just the units).
This micro will require you to sit down. There are houses but you are not overlooked. I like Aylesbury. Nice Town.
