On July 2, 1505 a law student named Martin Luther was caught in a terrible thunderstorm and lightening struck near him knocking him to the ground. It was at this time he vowed to become a monk. In 1517 Luther nailed to the door of the Castle Church 95 theses. One of the things Luther denounced was the sale of indulgences. The church of the day sold indulgences to free dead relatives and friends from purgatory. This act became the spark which ignited the Reformation. From those acts grew the church you see here. The cache is not on or near the building.
