Geocache Description:

This cache is to introduce you to Minot’s Scandinavian Heritage Park. You do not have to leave the walkways to find this cache (small magnetic key holder). Bring a pen to sign the log papers. One of the highlights of the park includes a full-size replica of the Gol Stave Church originally built in about 1250, now in Bygdoy Park in Oslo, Norway. Also on display is a large Dala horse, which is the most recognized Swedish symbol in the world. In the summertime a waterfall flows down to the serene ponds below. A restored Danish Windmill, an authentic Finnish Sauna, a Nordic Pavilion for the Arts and Picnic Shelter along with the Sondre Norheim Eternal Flame Monument will make your visit to the “Magic City” informative and enjoyable. A welcome center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Velkommen, Velkomst, Valkommen, Tervetuloa, Velkomin, Welcome.
