Geocache Description:

With apologies to Pinnacles National Monument

Barney Hill and I had driven to this exact spot on 16 September 1961 in my Desert Sky Blue T-Bird. It was a good place to eat our lunch and get a break from the daily grind. Having consumed only about ten of twenty fish tacos, we were suddenly bathed in a cone of light from above that was brighter than daylight. Shielding our eyes, we could make out a group of three figures descending within that cone from an obviously alien craft hovering noiselessly above. These grotesque creatures demanded our remaining fish tacos. We quite rightly refused. Obviously piqued, they made a sudden lunge for the T-Bird and devoured it with their large, jaws-of-life type mandibles, before we could stir. With that, they ascended back into their craft, and then, accompanied by loud burps, their craft sped away. Initially nonplussed, Barney finally recovered and said he would be writing up an account of this amazing event on his way back to his home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He was returning home three days later and he thought his wife, Betty Hill, would be extremely interested. I never heard from either of them again. If you know what happened to them please include it in your log. Thanks. (I know what you're thinking and you're right...I was never able to collect the insurance for the T-Bird.) You can make this harder to get to. I like starting at the Carmel Valley Community Park South. Next meeting regarding the park is on 17 September 2003 (...Really!...).  Bring only small objects. Remember Geocache Etiquette 1. Don’t leave blank space in the logbook. Use all available white space, including the back of each page. Use a line to separate your entry from the one above it. 2. Reseal the container tightly to keep out moisture. 3. Rehide carefully.
