1. int. austrian GEOCACHING-DAY(with championship) Event Cache

Information and rules for participants:

First of all, all Geocachers of each nation are hearty welcome to this event!
We will have more than 20 new caches.

There are three possibilities to attend in this event:

1. You come on the day of the event each time you want and solve one or more new caches and when you want; you come also to the inn in the evening!
2. You come only to the restaurant in the evening! See the innkoordinates below!
3. You come when you have signed up in the championship and dry to collect so many points as you can in the provided maximum time. I think you will then also come to the inn in the evening for talking, prize giving etc.

Schedule for the day (middle Europe time):

Up to 08h 45’ Geocachers who signed up in the championship arrive at the starting position!
09h 00’ cache map with all new Geocaches are given to the participants and START!
09h00’ – 18h00’ cache map for all who attended in this event and want to do one or more caches just for fun! (of course you can also start later in the championship if you have signed up in this part of the event!)
19h00’ Finishing time for the championship at the innkoordinates!
19h00’ – open end: Being comfortably together and prize giving!

Special regulation for the championship:

You have to register by sending an e-mail to (baum.stern.@aon.at )!
Your registration have to include a picture of you or each person of the team, your name or the team name, your telephone number (if you want use the joker), your nationality!
You have also to post a “will attend” and a short message that you will be a participant of the championship, on this page!

The Austrian law is valid during the whole event in each region, specifically the STVO! (Law for using streets)!
Your health come to the fore, so don’t make caches which seems to be dangerous for you(read the description exactly), specifically be careful when it is wet, wrong ambition would not be meaningful (at some stages you can plunge down); please take care of your children!
Don’t be hectically, we think this is not the way to connect many points, work precise, be cool and have fun; these are no “Olympic games”!
You can start alone or as team up to five persons, when you are a team you have to stay together during the whole event, children younger than 12 years don’t need to be registered!
Four eyes see more than two and two brains calculate quicker than one so there is a point reduction in the following way: 2 Persons will get 85%, 3P. 77% 4P. 72% 5P. 70% of the connected points!
To prove your cache found you have to make a digital photo with you and the cache (the cache and you has to be able to identify at the photo (you will find an example below), if you are a team all team members have to be photographed with the cache! If one registered team member is absent at the picture you do not get points for this cache!
These memory units are possible: CF/CFII/MS/SM/SD/MMC (Attention: no Fuji xD cards!)
Each cache gives different points and you can make more points for the FTF (you will see the points within reach in the cache map)!
When you find a cache please dry to log (sticker or stamp recommend; please post you long commentaries in the internet) as quick as possible and hide the cache it in the same way as you found it (not worse and not better)!
When other participants come to the Cachelocation while you are logging or taking pics you can give the cache to the next seekers and go, but you have to show them very exactly where and how the cache was hidden! The safety of the cache container is prior, so look always for “muggles”!
If you did the FTF you have to take the FTF marker with you to get the points for it!
You can also use a telephone joker, you will find the number in the cache map; each hint will bring a 25% reduction of the points depending the cache you ask for!
You can only use the telephone joker when you have registered your telephone number!
It is also allowed to use a private telephonjoker (but this one must not be in the region of the championship), this brings no points reductions!
If you exceed the time limit at 19h00’ you will loose 1% of your points each beginning minute (for instance you come at 19h23’20’’ you loose 24% of your points). When you come later then 20h00’ you will loose all points!

Strictly forbidden:

To use unregistered team members, to give FTF Markers to other participants (or changing), hiding the found cache in a other position or in a other way, taking a cache with you, phoning with other participants to agree with them and changing hints, to be unfair (for instance giving wrong hints to others when you meet)…, changing or removing hints on stations, to use your motor vehicle offroad!
This all brings the Disqualification and a very bad impression in the Cachercommunity!

Each participant should take nice pics the whole day; then you can send max. five of your best pics to baum.stern.@aon.at
This pics will be shown at geocache.at for 2 weeks and each visiter can give his vote! We will have also a nice prize for the winner!

Teilnehmerinformation und Regeln:

Als allererstes möchte ich alle Geocacher und die, welche es noch werden wollen, ganz herzlich zu diesem Event willkommen heißen!
Wir werden mehr als 20 neue Caches haben.

Grundsätzlich gibt es drei verschiedene Möglichkeiten an diesem Event teilzunehmen:

1. Du kommst am Tag der Veranstaltung wann Du gerne möchtest und machst einen oder mehrere neue Caches und wenn Du willst bist Du natürlich auch am Abend im Wirtshaus herzlich willkommen!
2. Du kommst am Abend nur ins Wirtshaus! Schau dir die Wirtshauskoordinaten weiter unten an!
3. Du kommst als offiziell angemeldeter Teilnehmer zur Meisterschaft und versuchst in der vorgeschriebenen Zeit so viele Punkte wie möglich zu sammeln. Sicherlich wirst Du dann auch zum Ausklang dieses Tages ins Wirtshaus mit der Siegerehrung kommen.

Zeitablauf (mitteleuropäische Zeit):

Bis 8:45 Uhr Die Meisterschaftsteilnehmer finden sich am Startpunkt ein!
9:00 Uhr Die Unterlagen mit den neuen Caches werden an die Teilnehmer verteilt, anschließend erfolgt der Start!
09h00’ – 18h00’ In diesem Zeitraum gibt es die Unterlagen für alle Cacher, welche sich angemeldet haben und einen oder mehrere Caches ohne Wettkampfgedanken suchen wollen! (Natürlich kann man auch als Wettkämpfer noch später starten!)
19h00’ Zeitschluss für die Meisterschaft (spätester möglicher Eintrefftermin am Ziel = Wirtshauskoordinaten)
19h00’ – open end: gemütliches Beisammensein mit der Siegerehrung!

Genaues Regelwerk für die Meisterschaft:

Um teilzunehmen musst Du Dich per e-mail (baum.stern.@aon.at) folgender Maßen anmelden:
Sende deinen Nicknamen oder den des Teams, ein Photo von Dir bzw. mit allen Teammitgliedern, deine Telefonnummer (Handy)(falls Du den Telefonjoker nutzen möchtest), und deine Nationalität!
Weiters musst Du auf dieser Seite mit „will attend“ und kurzem Text, dass Du, Ihr bei der Meisterschaft teilnehmt loggen!

Grundsätzlich gilt für alle Aktivitäten an diesem Tag die österreichische Gesetzeslage, im speziellen möchten wir auf die STVO verweisen, welche im eigenen Interesse einzuhalten ist!
Allen Vorrang hat eure Gesundheit, versucht also bitte keine Caches zu suchen(Beschreibungen gut durchlesen) welche möglicherweise für euch Gefahr bedeuten, hier ist sicher übertriebener Ehrgeiz unangebracht (an manchen Stellen kann man abstürzen)!
Besondere Vorsicht ist bei Nässe geboten und achtet bitte speziell auf eure Kinder!
Hektisch und unüberlegt zu agieren wird sicher nicht der Weg zu vielen Punkten sein, darum bleibt ruhig, überlegt und habt vor allem Spaß; das sind keine „olympischen Spiele“!
Ihr könnt alleine oder als Team mit maximal 5 Personen starten; wenn ihr als Team startet müsst ihr die ganze Zeit zusammen bleiben, Kinder unter 12 Jahren gelten nicht als offizielle Teammitglieder brauchen also auch nicht angemeldet werden!
Vier Augen sehen mehr als zwei und zwei Gehirne rechnen schneller als eines, daher bringt jede zusätzliche Person einen Punkteabzug und zwar lt. folgendem Muster: 2 Personen bekommen 85%, 3P. 77%, 4P. 72%, 5P. 70% der gesammelten Punkte!
Um einen Cachefund zu beweisen müsst Ihr ein oder mehrere digitale Fotos mit euch und der Cachedose machen, darauf müssen alle Personen(Team) und die Cachedose eindeutig identifizierbar sein(Du findest ein Beispielfoto unten)! Bei mehreren Fotos muss natürlich auf jedem Bild die Cachedose zu sehen sein. Werden ein oder mehrere Teammitglieder nicht zusammen mit der Cachedose fotografiert, gibt es für diesen Cache keine Punkte!
Folgende Speichermedien sind möglich: CF/CFII/MS/SM/SD/MMC (Achtung keine Fuji XD cards!)
Jeder Cache bringt eine bestimmte Punkteanzahl, außerdem gibt es für den FTF zusätzliche Punkte (die Übersicht über die zu erreichenden Punkte findet ihr in den Unterlagen)!
Wenn ihr einen Cache gefunden habt, versucht bitte so schnell wie möglich zu loggen (Aufkleber oder Stempel empfohlen; eure ausgiebigen Kommentare könnt ihr dann bitte im Internet posten). Macht eure Bilder und versteckt die Dose bitte wieder genauso wie ihr diese gefunden habt(nicht besser und nicht schlechter!)
Wenn während des Loggens oder Fotografierens andere Teilnehmer am Cacheplatz eintreffen könnt ihr die Dose nach Bild & Logg weitergeben müsst aber genauestens erklären, zeigen wo und wie die Dose versteckt war! Die „Sicherheit“ der Dose hat natürlich Priorität, also immer schön auf die Muggles aufpassen!
Wenn ihr den FTF gemacht habt müsst ihr die FTF Marke als Beweis mitnehmen(liegt im Loggbuch); Zusatzpunkte nur mit Marke!
Ihr könnt bei Bedarf auch den Telefonjoker beliebig oft einsetzen (Nummer in den Unterlagen), jeder erfragte Hinweis bringt eine Punktereduktion von 25% betreffend den jeweiligen Cache!
Der Telefonjoker kann nur dann eingesetzt werden, wenn eure Telefonnummer bei der Anmeldung angegeben wurde!
Es ist auch erlaubt einen privaten Telfonjoker einzusetzen (dieser darf sich aber nicht in der Meisterschaftsregion befinden), dies bringt keinen Punkteabzug!
Wenn die Zielschlusszeit von 19h00’ überschritten wird, werden pro angebrochene Minute 1% der Punkte abgezogen, wer nach 20h00’ eintrifft, verliert alle Punkte! (z.B. Eintreffen um 19h23’10’’ = gesammelte Punkte – 24%)

Es ist strengstens verboten:

Nicht registrierte Teammitglieder einzusetzen, Nichtzusammenbleiben der Teammitglieder, FTF Marker weiterzugeben oder zu tauschen, den Cache anders als vorgefunden zu verstecken oder die Dose mitzunehmen, sich telephonisch mit anderen Teilnehmern abzusprechen, Hinweise auszutauschen, unfaire Handlungen zu setzen (z.B. falsche Hinweise zu geben, wenn man auf andere Cacher trifft…), Hinweise an Stationen zu verändern oder zu entfernen! Das Benutzen von Kraftfahrzeugen auf nicht mit Asphalt befestigten Straßen & Wegen!
Alles dies bringt die Disqualifikation und einen dementsprechend schlechten Ruf in der Cacher-Community!

Es wird auch einen Fotowettbewerb geben! Jeder Teilnehmer ist aufgefordert viele nette Bilder zu machen! Du kannst dann max. 5 Bilder an baum.stern.@aon.at senden!
Die Bilder werden dann 2 Wochen auf geocache.at ausgestellt; jeder Besucher kann dann dort sein Voting abgeben! Der Sieger wird einen netten Sachpreis erhalten!
