Geocache Description:

When Doc Gilbo and I recently set out to hide some new caches along Village Creek, this is where we first realized we were crippled. It's never a good idea to go upstream in a flat-bottom jon boat with an old, worn out trolling motor. Especially when fighting against a current approaching 3mph. Did we mention the logjams? But then again, when have we ever been known for doing things the easy way?

As the terrain rating would suggest, you will need some form of waterborne transportation. This is indeed an island; trust the topo maps that say it's not at your own (considerable) risk!

Your best bet is to launch at the SH-327 bridge and float downstream to Baby Galvez Landing. Or you can try doing it backwards like we did. Lots of luck...

You'll be looking for a camouflaged ammo can. Inside you'll find a few Brainteaser Puzzles, along with some cool sig items from 9Key and LSUFan. Have fun!
