Geocache Description:

Captain's Chessvale View

As our first cache we've tried to keep this simple. The cache is in "Captain's Wood" and is easily accessible without breaking any new trails. Start from either residential streets with a short woodland walk (parking is often crowded) at N51° 43.352'/W000° 37.277, or from a closer location with a steep path uphill to the cache, but easier parking at N51° 43.072'/W000° 37.374.

The cache location was chosen to look out over the local scenery, but particularly the newly opened Chessvale bowling club in the valley below.

The cache location is off the main walkway, but do be careful of dog walkers and other passing muggles.

The cache is a standard 3 litre tupperware-style box, it originally contained:

A couple of Travel Bugs
A PC CD-ROM computer game
A Game Boy Advance chess game
A pack of magicians playing cards
A Small pedometer
Logbook and pens

Please be sure that the lid is replaced as tightly as possible.

Co-ordinates updated on 08-May-2005 - Hopefully these will reflect the actual location more accurately, and not send people over a cliff!!! :) That is right, no need to go over any edges for this one...
