I've been running a 4 mile loop through this area with a buddy of mine early morning twice a week since August of '04. We start near Wal-Mart about 6:45am and either run under 237 or take the overpass depending if it rained the night before.
This cache is along our running course. I thought this was a very Zen like area the first time I saw it. Very peacefull with the trees, lawn area, large rocks, picnic tables, along with the volleyball and basketball courts.
Cache is a 6" diameter nut container. The mosquito's were thick when I placed the cache in the evening, so you might want to bring some repellent.
If I see you lurking around when we run by, I'll say hi.
To continue on the course, we've been climbing a 4ft fence to get to the overpass, but if you are uncomfortable with that, continue on the creek path and come up on the other side of the road, then cross the creek on the overpass there. There is an opening in the fence on the other side. Why the county didn't make an opening on the north side is beyond me. These levee trails are heavily used in the morning and at lunch time.
