We
have replaced this cache with a new container and away from it's
original location. If you have logged a 'find' prior to April 23,
2006, you may log another now. Also, PLEASE just open the top to
get to it's contents, and make sure it is put back like you found
it, or better!! Since we do not own our own water transportation,
it is costly for us to do maintenance, so please help us if you
can, so that the next cacher can enjoy the hunt, the view and the
find too! Thank you!!!!
This
cache is is a replacement for Gulf of the Dolphins Buried
Treasure by Kim and Fiona, Team Shorty w/help from little
Blue.

T had said the owners were MIA and asked if anyone could give him
information on the cache. We made contact with Little Blue and went
to check on the cache. The cache was a victim of Hurricane Charley
and is gone. After our trip to the cache, we decided that this area
could not be left without a cache. We kayaked to the cache area.
During our excursion we were accompanied by
dolphins!!
The Island is a beautiful secluded area. We think this cache is
well worth the effort and therefore, we placed a new cache North
from where the old cache was. With the permission of Little Blue,
the old cache was archived and this new one is in place.
We just felt that bringing people to this area was a wonderful
idea and should not be let go. We hope you enjoy this as much as we
did!! We thank the original cache owners for bringing us here.
The Northen part of the Island is a Private resort and Beach
area. The area in which the cache is placed is part of Lee County
parks and is public.
*****PLEASE be aware. This cache is within 500 feet of a
nude beach. You will almost be guaranteed to see people in their
Birthday suits.*****
Also note that the closest we could get with the tree cover was
16 feet accuracy with the waypoints. Becuase of this, and it's new
'placement' we have given it the 4 1/2 star rating for difficulty.
The coordinates for this cache are averaged.
