Not a Drop to Drink Traditional Cache
Chewinprickles: It is with some sadness and reluctance that I let this one go. Not so much because it's a great cache. It's not, but it holds quite a few memories and it's been in place for the best part of seven years (virtually as long as I've been caching) and has never needed any maintenance until now. It was quite close to home but since I now live up the country I must bite the bullet and kill it.

This cache is designed to place you near one of the historical markers on the Federation History Walk, by the Werribee Historical Society
Just as Partic has located and placed caches on or near many historical markers in the Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, and St Kilda areas, I intend to do the same with some of the similar markers placed around the Werribee area. Many of these markers are close together so a cache at each location will not be practical, however I intend to highlight a few and this is the first.
(Number 7 on the website list) The tall item at or near this site is a prominent Werribee landmark. It was built in 1929 and carried out a very important function for the area until it was decommissioned in late 1960. (You can read more details on the web site. If I say more then it will be given away)
Can you imagine what the area was like back in 1929? You don’t need a great imagination in some ways because the buildings here are as they were back then. I’m sure the levels of traffic would have been considerably different however.
(Number 8 on the website list) This is also nearby and is a place to honour some of our war heroes, Privates Latham, Conran and Mctigue being the first three.
The cache itself is in a location which you would think was specially made for the purpose. The difficulty level is higher because of the high levels of muggle traffic around here. Please take care to avoid detection.
The cache has the usual book and pencil, a racing car, bouncy ball and a couple of other small items which I forgot to take note of.
