If Ida Sneaky Snakes Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Yuzawa Kat: Burgi Dad and I [8D] [8D] are distressed it took us [:(!] [V] so long to come check on this one. We kept hoping against hope someone else would come find it, but it was not to be. [:(] Yes, it is well and truly gone, camo, container, contents, and all.

We hate to archive this, but it is irreplaceable as it was. This was our oldest and dearest If Ida cache for three reasons: First, it was in Sneaky Snakes' [}:)] chuckling voice in my head that I [8D] heard the first "If Ida Known..." phrasing that gave me the idea for the If Ida series. Honestly, though, I [8D] DO still hear voices in my head...

Second, the military flare container was a gift from the ever avuncular TheFederation. [;)] I'm glad to know he was able to log it when our NEFGA GXing Fools/friends Rushed through Pinellas County, touching base both here and at our Where GXing Fools Rush In GeoEvent. Have never seen one for sale anywhere, though...

And, third, the cache camo was from a free tree, "Some Assemble Required", right in our neighborhood after the hurricane circus train of 2004. We [:(!] [:O] had to encourage the original inhabitants, carpenter ants, to move out before it became cache camo... they were a bit of a hard sell, and Burgi Dad [8D] took quite a while to forgive me [:I] for getting them to move out so near the garage... Don't really WANT to "find" another one of THOSE!...

Anyway, there WILL be another cache or two here some day, whether we [8D] [8D] hide it or someone else does first! [^] Have a blessed day. Happy caching ~~

Geocache Description:

All new series! "If Ida" is short for "If Ida known you were coming, Ida baked you a cake." This series will celebrate, in a variety of ways, GXers we have met. Sneaky Snakes , this one's for you. I hope you remember why when you get here!

This cache replaces Mashall MacDougall and MacDougall's Bushmills - NOT! previously in this park. Your best bet is to carry a bag and appear to be CITOing the area. Nothing else you do will deflect a curious GeoMuggle's attention any quicker than that.

In case you were wondering, yes, we're allowed off the boardwalks. They are there because when the rains come, this area may get a little wet. Then, perhaps we'll up the difficulty count!

*** NOTE *** Please make sure to rehide this so it will not be seen from the north side or the south side, where the GeoMuggles can see it as they walk by. You will know what we mean when you find it... Hey, you have to think like Sneaky Snakes!

This delicacy of a park in Safety Harbor has three distinct personalities. If you get a chance, check them out. While the kids play on the playground or basketball court on the East side, perhaps you can find the prehistoric croc's head encased in a tree. A picnic might be nice. Or get some exercise at the tennis and handball courts on the West side.

Once you decide to go for the cache, please avoid being viewed by the GeoMuggles that abound on the East and West. Beware the dreaded Cache Guardians, Florida State Bird (aedes vexans). Be prepared for sightings as well as possible (probable) contact...

~~ Have a blessed day. Happy caching. ~~ YK and BD
