Geocache Description:

The easiest way to reach this cache is to take the 100 S. road down to a long lane that heads up through some fields. If you pass by the old McBride homestead with the white brick and all the trees and animals you have gone too far. Head up the lane to the top of the hill with all the trees.

This cache is located by some trees in an old ammo can. Please be sure and place everything back the way you found it ;) There is quite a view from up on top of the hill. My grandfather used to farm this 80 acre piece of ground when he was alive. At one time there used to be a big grove of trees and an old brick house close by here. The other pastime that we as grandkids always loved to do in this area is to come aspargas picking and also gather caterpillars that would later turn into Monarch butterflies. If your here in the late Spring or Summer you'll have to let your kids do some searching.

If you look down the hill to your right you will see my Grandpa Monson's old homestead. It is the home with a bunch of trees and some old grainery buildings. Straight down the lane is what people have learned to call the Old McBride Farm. My parents raise a variety of birds and animals. They get school groups from all over the valley to come out and see the animals. You are more than welcome to stop in and say hi and get a tour of the farm. Kids will love it!!
