Geocache Description:

A basic cache in a developing park

No puzzles, no special themes, not even a crazy camo job. This is just your everyday basic cache placed in a park along a new hiking trail.

I placed this cache to help celebrate our CITO event for 2005 and because the area was neat. As you walk down the trail, you'll encounter massive cypress trees, various types of rock, and wildlife along the pond and creek. Enjoy!

If any geologists out there can share some information on the rock formations, I'd appreciate a note!

There is no official park entrance. The best place to park is on Salt Springs across William Cannon and walk through the field toward the trail.

It seems a lot of people have been heading to this geocache from others in the area and are taking the wrong trail. As a result, you may end up 30-40' away from the cache coordinates, but you'll be 40-50' ABOVE the location.

I've included coordinates to the lower trail that will take you to the right spot. If you are at ground zero and find yourself on a ledge or other high hill, you are in the wrong place. The terrain is a little higher on this one, but it's because the trail is rough and there are some elevation changes NOT because you could fall and hurt yourself.

I really don't have any hints to make this one easier to find as once you are in the right spot, it really should be a fast find.
