HUK-3 "Top O' The World, Ma!" Traditional Cache
hukilaulau: So sad. Coming up on 8 years but it looks like this one is gone. Don't know what the tupperware is all about but that's not what I hid. It was not a party spot when I put the ammo can there. Just a high spot in the meadow mostly visited by joggers and dog walkers. Thanks to all those who came to find it!
I hope someone puts another one in this pretty little park!

03/10/06 I am downgrading the difficulty and terrain ratings. I was new to geocaching when I hid this one and I was overly concerned about little ones tumbling off of the rock. But despite my concern there's no way it's a 3.
This is a standard ammo can with TUS (The Usual Swag)
I have recently moved to the area and have found a lot of nice small wooded areas to play in. This one is very close to my new home.
There was a multi nearby that got muggled about a year ago. The first stage of that one is still available, so if you want to you can find that one first and pretend this is the second stage of the multi, and get credit for two caches!
If you go to Eastern Long Island, please visit my first two caches; one a very easy decon cache, the other a rather difficult two part multi/mystery cache.
3/27/06 ADDING PARKING INFO: I never intended that finding the correct entry point be the hardest part of the hunt!
At the intersection of VFW Parkway and Independence Drive you will see a strip mall on one side of Independence and a Health Care facility on the other. Turn into the Healthcare facility parking lot and go straight to the back. You will see a sign for the park. The apartment complex parking lot is right next to it. The trail
is a loop, so you can really go either direction. There is very little bushwacking needed.
