Low Bridge Time Portal Traditional Cache
Breaking Away: Sorry to all of you for our taking so long to attend to this cache. We picked up the cache and intended to replace it, but have not been able to get out there to do so. We have decided that it is best to archive and give others an opportunity to place a cache of their own here or nearby. In fact, we encourage it! This was one of our most visited caches... it is a great place with interesting history. Thanks for your patience. See you on the caching trails!

There are two areas to park to get to this cache. One is a pull-off area off Onondaga Lake Parkway, and the other is in a motel parking lot off Old Liverpool Road. Both are close to the cache, but the one off of Onondaga Lake Parkway is more befitting to the name of the cache.
Step back in history at this time portal. The Low Bridge sign is really a signpost to the past. Just before the bridge (if you are traveling north, after the bridge if you are traveling south), there is a pull-off. You will see a historical marker here. Read the sign, and find out what the Onondagas called Onondaga Lake. Also, find out some interesting history about the Jesuit priest, LeMoyne. Our original intent was to bring you here to see a place where it is very important to know the height of your vehicle... there is evidence that some people should have known this consequential information before driving by here! To our surprise, when we stopped to check out the area, we discovered remnants of over 300 years of history! There are 3 things we would like you to observe... our original intent bearing the evidence, the sign with the name of the lake, and a historical spot about 200 feet away from the sign. We hope you enjoy walking around this area! An extra 50 points if you can get a photo of the train going by! Oh yeah, don't forget to find the cache! It's a tubular camo cache. Only a few feet of bushwhacking is required, and you will have to get on your hands and knees to find it. Please place it back as you found it. There have been regular muggles at this site, who usually don't take things, but it is not recommended to leave TB's here. Although you probably won't need them, the hints should be very helpful.
