Geocache Description:

A walk through Den of Scone. This area can get muddy when wet, so please wear waterproof footwear. A great place for spotting wildlife, it is full of birds, and look out for the Deer.

The above co-ordinates are for the start of the trail.

Parking is nearby on the A94.

Walk along the Pot-holed road (Den Road)to the end, where you you will see two small stone pillars and a green box.

Cross over the bridge on your right.

Follow the path to the left along the water, until you have to cross another bridge over a small burn.(The path can get very muddy here so take care).

Then take the right path heading uphill away from the main burn. Head up the widest track to the top of the hill to a farm gate.

From there follow the path to the left along the top of the Den, keeping the fence to your right. You are heading for the highest point of the Den and looking for the largest fence post made from an old telegraph pole.

The cache is beside the large flat tree stump, about four small paces from the fence post. Watch out for the jaggy
briars.

The cache contains log book and pencils, stamp and ink pad.
No swaps are required.

Letterboxing.

In the cache box you will find a Rubber Stamp and an Ink Pad - these are the signature for this cache. Please take an imprint of the stamp for yourself if you wish to collect them in your own personal notebook. Then leave an imprint of your own personal stamp in the cache log book (if you have one), or simply sign as a traditional log book.

Stamp and Ink remains part of the cache but it might be an idea to carry your own Ink Pad in case the one provided should dry up.
