The idea for this cache really came from my friend Mary, who, each
year, at special times like Christmas, gives me hope and
inspiration by carrying around a basketful of stones, each of which
has a little word of inspiration attached to it. It's Mary's way of
spreading love and good will. I think it is beautiful and decided
it would make for a really special cache.
This cache is a little different than the usual, since there are
no trade items and I would ask you not to leave any. You simply
take something really special away with you. The cache is a
container within a container and is fairly heavy. Some small Travel
Bugs may fit in the outer container and those you may feel free to
leave.
If you wish to share your word, that would be nice. You can log
it in the book and on-line, or you may choose to only enter it in
the book, or not at all. It is your word. Use it as
you will. You might enjoy going down to the nearby beach-like area
and gazing out over the water, as you meditate on your gift. Feel
free to share those experiences, too. By all means, you may feel
completely right in just grabbing it and running off to the next
cache. Nothing wrong with that! Do take some time, perhaps later in
the evening, perhaps the next day, to reflect on your word.
Please park at N 43° 17.156 W 079° 53.134. Go around the left
side of the big tree, to avoid the gravestones and you'll find the
top of the "path" at N 43° 17.153 W 079° 53.150. Be careful going
down, especially if you have little ones with you, as there is some
glass just off the side of the path. I have removed a good deal of
it and if we all take a piece or two as we leave, it will be gone
in no time. The cache was placed with the permission of the
Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries. Please be discreet and enjoy the
cache.
