Geocache Description:

Located in Beaver Lake Nature Center. This cache will test the bond between you and your GPS (and bug spray). All coordinates for this cache will be in UTM units except for the first one unless you want to use them.

Ok so after years fo issues with this cache I Deleted part 2. Go to the posted coords and use the map inside to find the coords in UTM so change your GPS settings to find the cache itself.

If you would like check the coords with me and Ill confirm, then send the next map and we can do the same with that. If this will help.

Beaver Lake is one of my favorite places to hike around in and I have never had a bad day there, and neither will you. I proposed to the better half of the outdoornuts here (at the old part 2- the bench area)so there is some good memories here for us. I suggest first before any hiking stop in at the nature center building and get a trail map without it you will be wet, frustrated and maybe lost. The difficulty is a 4 because of the distance and type of multi-cache not because it is hard to find. Please stay on the trails as much as possible.

UTM units are the metric cousin of lat/long and I feel they are easier to use and understand then lat/long. 1 unit of measure in UTM = 1 meter while 1 unit in lat long is … well not that simple. So on to the cache info, you will need to change your units on your GPS to UTM, mine is under main menu and setup. I use UTM UPS but some of the others work as well. Please let me know if you have trouble I will try and help you out.

-The coordinates given will take you to a cache just off the trail. In there is a small map and grid, all you will have to do is find the coordinates off the map itself.
-Using the coordinates from stop 1 you will easily find stop 2 same thing there as in stop 1 with the map.
-Finally you will have the coordinates to the cache itself and enjoy the short hike.

This one will require your geocacher-stealth mode and please be careful off the trail as to not disturb the plants and swamp things.

Warnings:
1.) Part of this multi-cache can be buggy so be prepared!
2.) Don’t forget the trail map.
3.) Stay on the boardwalks to not harm the delicate plants in the bog/swamp wetlands.
4.) Lastly there is a $3 per car charge for the park, so I would suggest using a whole day to do this and visit the other caches also at the park and maybe walk around in the nature center for some great information. A great place for kids!

First to find go to hubbye. Congrats! I know others will enjoy it as much as you.
