Geocache Description:

From Highway 6 take Warner Bay Road past the airport and turn SE at the first intersection at Belrose Road. The road allowance is 66 feet; beyond this is private property so please respect the owners and stay on the allowance. Easy approach, terrain rating based on the final 5 feet to get to the cache.

In the spring migrating birds can be seen in the trees and swamps and in the summer sandhill cranes can sometimes be spotted feeding at the edge of the fields and the bush. They are long necked heron-like birds, 3-4 feet tall, with a splash of red on their heads. You will need binoculars to see them well but you may hear their raucous calls before you actually see them. Please do not disturb them for they are rare birds.
