CHADWICK TRAILS #2 - Revisited Traditional Cache
tabhiker: Since this one had not been found in 11 months I decided to go check it out. The area of the hide is so heavily overgrown that although it may still be there, for all practical purposes it is inaccessible. It lasted over 3 years which by Geocaching standards is pretty good.

This seldom used Chadwick Canyon trail is near the Chadwick Academy. It is about a 30-minute hike to an easy cache. (Some of you may recall my original Chadwick Trails #2 cache that was ripped off several days after it was placed. This new one is NOT at the same location.)
Park either on Academy Drive, west of Palos Verdes Drive North, or across the street in the parking lot for RHE City Hall, at the intersection of Crenshaw and PV Drive N. The trailhead is off of PV Drive N, about 60 yards north of Academy, and is marked “Bridle Trail.” This is the same trailhead as cache Chadwick Trails #1, but a completely different trail.
You may see hawks and falcons, and also domestic livestock such as horses and goats. Nice spring wildflowers. Hungry? Try the wild blackberries (in season) growing along several sections of the trail.
I would not recommend this for night caching for two reasons. 1) The trail is very overgrown after the heavy rains, making it difficult to find the trail; and even worse 2) There are two “cliff hazards” along the trail in which the path is very close to a drop-off into the creek.
Because the cache is in a canyon, with fewer satellites in view, GPS-r accuracy is not ideal. The stated coordinates are an average of three I took. If all else fails, decrypt the clue.
