Little Greider Lake
I made the hike up to Little Greider Lake the other day and I decided it could use a cache. I just happened to have one with me.
To get to the trailhead is a long drive. Turn left on Sultan basin road on the east end of Sultan. Go about 10 miles and the pavement ends. Go 3 miles until you get to the registration station. Check in and head through the right hand gate. Go another 7.4 miles until you get to the Greider Lakes trailhead. It is about 1.8 miles up to the cache site and .5 miles more to Big Greider Lake. The DNR brochure states that it is a fairly easy hike. Maybe after they clean it up! You gain about 1400 feet in the first 1.5 miles. There are also several downed trees across the trail. There are campsites around the lake, but there is no camping until June 15th. Go across the bridge at the outlet of the lake. The cache is in that area. Take the spoiler pictures with you as GPSr coverage is poor up here. The cache is a small well hidden Rubbermaid container wrapped in a bag. It contains a Washington geocoin for the first finder, and various camping type items.
