Geocache Description:

A visit to the village of Arbirlot and the Elliot Water which runs beside it.

Park at the above co-ordinates

In the car park you will notice a millwheel built into the wall. The inscription on it contains a date

6th July 1AB9

Now cross over the road and carry on to the corner to the entrance to the kirkyard. As you approach the kirk you will see a plaque on the wall commemorating the dead from the 1st World War. How many names are on it?

Now continue round to your right. You'll see a Commonwealth War grave for a lady who died age

Walk through the gravestones towards the slate roofed hearse-house which sits at the bottom of the cemetery. There is an inscription above the door -

COCKPEN 1EF0-1928 ARBIRLOT

From here you can see the circular window at the side of the church - how many tall, narrow windows are there directly next to it?

There is an unusual gravestone at co-ords N56 33.310 W 002 38.975. No mention is made of who is buried there.
