Pass Bypass Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rock Rabbit: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When/if repairs to this cache are completed drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your 'My Cache Page' and clicking the link of your cache. I will review the cache again at that time and if it meets the listing guidelines in effect at that time I can unarchive the listing.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Rock Rabbit

Also, do not remove any admin notes as they aid other Geocaching.com admins if they need to work with your cache. [/red]

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Recommend starting at trailhead located N 48deg 25.030, W 122 38.647. This is near a fly-fishing only lake. Please park with regard for the fisherman.

The new trail to this cache is within Deception Pass State Park and was commemorated on Saturday, 23 April, 2005. See well written article in local newspaper for detailed trail description and designation as Skagit County "Hike Of The Week".
This very well executed trail avoids sensitive areas while providing breathtaking views and great opportunities to appreciate a wide variety of topography and plant life. When you seem closest to the cache, continue just a bit further to access it easily via a short side-trail. Please be sensitive to native vegetation.
After finding this cache, consider following the new trail all the way to cache "Historic Homestead Orchard, GCJEFA " and back for a great 4 mile roundtrip hike.  Also check out the Deception Pass Park Foundation website for more good information about Deception Pass State Park.
Enjoy.
