Geocache Description:

Located along the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, this 2-part multicache exemplifies how the city of Tampa has attempted to preserve both local history and green spaces in the midst of urban growth. The final stage of the cache is a decon container with room for a log book, small trade items and travel bugs.

The Upper Tampa Bay Trail is envisioned as a major north-south paved multi-use, non-motorized trail in northwest Hillsborough County. This segment of the continuously-growing trail system, which follows an abandoned railroad corridor through suburban Citrus Park, crosses Rocky Creek over the old railroad trestle and runs through wooded areas near the Veteran’s Expressway.

The listed coordinates will bring you to an informational kiosk that will provide the answers the following questions. You will need these answers to complete the coordinates listed below. Enter the results, as indicated by the letter(s)in the appropriate spots.

1. On the bottom corner of the informational kiosk, there is an old train schedule. In what year was this train schedule used. Subtract 13 from the last two numbers of that year to get A.
2. According to the train schedule, what time did the No.6 arrive in Sans Souci from Tarpon Springs? Add 3 to the last digit in you answer to get B.
3. In what year did saw mills begin laying narrow-gauge tracks throughout the region to have access to virgin timber? Add 9 to the last two numbers of that year to get CD.

Substitute your answers for the letters to get the final coordinates:

N 28º 02.A0B
W 082º 34.1CD

...And now for the standard M&M geocaching disclaimers!

Dense tree cover may affect your final GPS readings so of course you may have to use your geocaching intuition to find the actual cache. Please rehide the cache securely and conceal it well so it cannot be seen. Have fun!

After you locate the cache please make sure to seal the Decon container properly by pressing down on all sides until they snap in place - otherwise the cache may not stay dry.
