Geocache Description:

At the boardwalk at Soda Lake. Hard dirt path about 1/4 mile leads to boardwalk. Both path and boardwalk are flat and an easy, breezy walk. Information posts at the platforms are interesting.

The boardwalk at Soda Lake is very nice with educational posts that tell you about the geology of the area as well as information about the lake itself. There are benches along the way and it is a very peaceful place.

From the parking area walk the dirt path towards the lake. Walk along the boardwalk. You don’t need to wander away from the boardwalk, but you will need to step off of it in order to find the cache.

This cache is dedicated to Marlene Braun, the monument manager at the Carrizo Plains, who passed away just a couple days after I placed this cache.

The cache is a green, cylindrical ammo box.
